ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is a key technological department with a positive socio-economic impact. The scope of this multi-faceted discipline starts from electric machine and power systems, image and signal processing, biomedical engineering, information technologies, electronics, wireless and mobile communication, optical communication, control systems, machine learning systems, etc. Interdisciplinary research, combining several of these fields, has led to the realization of new technologies. This is one of the key departments in Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University where top-quality students are being enrolled. The Department began its operation from 2011. We are trying to support our society through our freshly enthusiastic youths. Generally, 40 students get opportunity to enroll in this department as undergraduate student every year. The department offers four four-year (eight semesters) degree of B. Sc. in Electrical and Electronic. In the last three terms the students are made expert in different project and thesis works, which enables them to show their skill in professional life.

    1. The vision of our department is to be a premier and value-based department of our country, which is committed to achieving excellence by preparing students as successful Electrical and Electronic engineers who are efficient, knowledgeable, self-motivated, and dedicated to their profession.

MISSION

  1. The mission of the program is to:

    1. Offer quality education in electrical and electronic engineering
    2. Provide state-of-the-art resources that contribute to achieving excellence in teaching-learning, research, and development activities
    3. Bridge the gap between industry and academia by framing curricula and syllabi based on industrial and societal needs
    4. Provide suitable forums to enhance the creative talents of students as well as the faculty members of the department
    5. Enable students to develop skills to solve complex technological problems of current times and also provide a framework for promoting collaborative and multidisciplinary activities
    6. Inculcate moral and ethical values among the faculty and students.
    7. Prepare students to develop all-round competitiveness.
    8. Motivate faculties and students to do impactful research on societal needs
    9. Develop genuine and dedicated electrical engineers
    10. Impart quality skills to meet the challenges of the technical world and enhance the skills toward the practical approach
