ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
After
establishing in 2020, Department of Marketing, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University
(JKKNIU) started its academic journey with a total of 25 students for the
academic year 2020-2021. The founding chairman of this department is
Professor Dr. Soumitra Sekhar, ex-vice chancellor, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam
University (JKKNIU).
Currently,
this marketing is a small family of 86 members with 4 teachers, 2 employees for office maintenance and 80 students.
Objectives:
§ To equip students with a strong foundation in
marketing theories, concepts, and practices, enabling them to analyze and solve
real-world marketing problems.
§ To develop students' creative and analytical
thinking abilities, encouraging them to generate innovative marketing
strategies that address evolving market dynamics.
§ To cultivate a sense of social responsibility
and ethical awareness in students, emphasizing the importance of sustainable
and responsible marketing practices.
§ To provide students with opportunities for
practical experience through internships, industry collaborations, and hands-on
projects, enhancing their readiness for professional roles.
§ To foster a global mindset in students,
enabling them to adapt to diverse cultural contexts and effectively engage in
international marketing activities.
§ To promote research and scholarly activities
among faculty and students, contributing to the advancement of marketing
knowledge and its practical applications.
§ To facilitate continuous learning and
professional development for both faculty and students, ensuring they stay
updated with the latest trends and innovations in the field of marketing.
§ These statements reflect the Department of
Marketing's aspirations and commitment to nurturing well-rounded marketing
professionals who can make a positive impact on society and the business world.

To become a leading center of excellence in
marketing education and research, nurturing innovative and socially responsible
marketing professionals who contribute to the growth and development of
Bangladesh and beyond.
MISSION
The Department of Marketing at JKKNIU is
committed to providing high-quality education, fostering research and
innovation, and promoting ethical and sustainable marketing practices. We aim
to empower students with a comprehensive understanding of marketing principles,
critical thinking skills, and a global perspective, preparing them to meet the
challenges of a dynamic business environment.
