Biography

Farhana Rea Deeba is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Bangladesh. She was formerly Lecturer in Department of English at Varendra University. She completed her B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) and M.A. (Master of Arts) from the Department of English, University of Rajshahi, Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Her research interests include South Asian Feminism Intersecting Globalisation and Social Activism. She has published two research papers in peer review journal. She received Got Board Scholarship in Higher Secondary Examination in 2008.

Awards and Accomplishment: 1. Got Board Scholarship in general pool in class 8 in 2004. 2. Got Board Scholarship in Higher Secondary Examination in 2008.

[20 December 2018 to 19 December 2020] Lecturer, Department of English Language and Literature, JKKNIU 3. [20 December 2020 to present] Assistant Professor, Department of English Language and Literature, JKKNIU.

Other Academic Activities: 1. Participated in a Poetry Workshop on the theme of “Urban Experience” Held at American Corner, Rajshahi on June 17-19, 2014. Organised by The American Center, U. S. Embassy, Dhaka and Bengal Foundation, Bangladesh 2. Participated in “National ELT Conference” Held at Rajshahi University on July 25, 2011. Jointly Arranged by English Department, Rajshahi University, THT and Bangladesh English Language Teachers Association (BELTA).
