Social welfare experience

Government Service: Served as Social Welfare Officer (for more than six years during 1974-81) under the Department of Social Welfare (at present Department of Social Services), the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Internship and International Study Visits

1972: Attended three months internship on “Social Welfare Administration in Rajshahi Division” under Department of Social Welfare, GoB, Rajshahi.
1974: Attended two months internship on “Rural Development” at Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD), Comilla.
1979: Attended an internship program in March-April 1979 as to visiting “Rural Development Institutions” in different areas of Portugal.
1989: Supervised Master’s Level International Study Tour in India (March-April 1989) under Department of Social Work, University of Rahshahi.

∆ Awarded the “Sherstha Shontan (শ্রেষ্ঠ সন্তান) of Mashinda Union”, Gurudashpur Upazila, Natore; awarded on 11 April 2018 by NDP and PKSF where the local Member of the Parliament (MP) Professor Md. Political and Social Movements
1969: Actively participated and led the 1969 Mass Uprising (Ebmˇi MYAf‚¨Ëvb) at Gurudashpur (Natore) and Tarash (Pabna) sub-districts and later was assaulted and affected by the Pakistan Army in 1971.

1990: Actively participated and played a key role in the Mass Uprising of 1990 (Anti-Ershad Movement) as a Teacher of Rajshahi University.

2008: One of the leaders of One Eleven Movement (actively participated in the Movement against the Military backed Care Taker Government (2007 – 2008) as a Teacher of the University of Rajshahi, Rajshahi.
